Interpretation of Verses from Surah al-Baqara

{Alif, Lam, Mim. ❁ This is the Book about which there is no doubt}1: The Alif is al-Miqdad, the Lam is Salman, and the Mim is Lord Muhammad. "This is the Book about which there is no doubt": it is the Name. He is the Torah, the Gospel, the Mushaf, the Psalms, and every revealed book. His saying: "no doubt in it" means no uncertainty in it; rather he is Truth. He only said "This is the Book," meaning by it Lord Muhammad and no other, as the poet said:

I continued to drive his back with the spear while saying to him: "Flee, for I am that one!"

Meaning: I know that I am that one. "No doubt in it": meaning no uncertainty. However, he is not this one whom you claim to see with your eyes and whom you attribute to all defects; He is sanctified above them—rather, He is the Merciful Lord.

{A guidance for the righteous}2: he is the Lord Mim.

(526) {Who believe in the unseen (al-ghayb) and establish prayer}3: by the "unseen" is meant the Amir Almuminin, our Master the Prince of Bees—exalted be his glory. As He said upon the pulpit of His greatness: "My outward is Imamate and Successorship, and My inward is an Unseen that cannot be perceived." So the Unseen is He. "Prayer"—its establishment is the recognition of the Name and that he is connected to the Meaning.
