{All praise is due to God, Lord of the worlds}1: "Praise" (al-Hamd) is the Mim. It is said: Praise, Greatness, and Might belong to God, and the like; these are the names of the Name, and they belong to the Meaning—exalted be His names.
"Lord of the worlds": the Lord Mim, because he produced the two worlds: the High Luminous World and the Lower Clay World; he created and originated them as we mentioned. "the Compassionate, the Merciful": as we previously interpreted.
"Master of the Day of Judgment": he is the Mim through the mastery of the Ain [Ali]—exalted be his glory. It is the Witnessed Day, and "Judgment" (al-Din) is Lord Salman. Another group said: "Judgment" is the Gate, and its Master and the one Powerful over it is the Name—exalted be his glory. Another aspect: "Master" (Malik) here is the Amir Almuminin, the "Day" is the witnessed Mim, and "Judgment" is Salman.
{It is You we worship}2: Worship is for the Meaning. Prostration and bowing are for the Name through indication, but the intent of worship is for the Meaning. This is the speech of Zayd ibn Haritha, the Monbite (al-Munabba’).
(525) It was related from the Prophet—exalted be his glory—that he said: "Indeed God—Mighty and Sublime—said: 'I have divided the Praise between Me and My servant. When My servant says: All praise is due to God, I say: My servant has praised Me and magnified Me. When the servant says: Lord of the worlds, I say: Yes, I am the Lord of the worlds, the High and the Lower. When he says: Master of the Day of Judgment, I say: Yes, and of the world and the kingdom. It is You we worship: for the servant supplicates for himself, and it is the saying of the Monbite.'"
