He was with the Lords Moses and Aaron—exalted be their glory: the Pharaoh of Egypt, who was al-Walid ibn Mus'ab, and his personages: Korah (Qarun), Haman (who is the Samaritan and the Third), and the Calf—the first and the second being the very essence and reality of the Calf, namely Atiq and Umar.

He was with David and Solomon—exalted be their glory—manifest through Goliath the Tyrant and Sakhr the Ifrit who snatched the ring and sat upon the throne of Solomon. He is not the Ifrit among the Jinn of whom God the Sublime said recounting: {An Ifrit from the jinn said, "I will bring it to you before you rise from your place, and indeed, I am for this task powerful and trustworthy"}.1 Rather, he is another. {Said he who had knowledge from the Scripture, "I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you." And when [Solomon] saw it placed before him, he said, "This is from the favor of my Lord to test me whether I will be grateful or ungrateful. And whoever is grateful—his gratitude is only for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever is ungrateful—then indeed, my Lord is Free of need and Generous"}2. These two are praised: the first is al-Miqdad, and the second is the possessor of power, Asif ibn Barkhiya—Exalted are His favors.

The Adversary was with Lord Daniel manifest through Nebuchadnezzar and his son Juwayn. He was with the Lords Zechariah, John, and the Messiah—exalted be their glory—manifest through King Herod, Judas Iscariot, Paul, and the slain Judas upon whom Lord Messiah cast his likeness. He was among the Persians manifest through Chosroes Parvez and Hormizd Anushirvan, to whom the Prophet—exalted be his glory—wrote; he burned his letter, and thus his kingdom ended and sovereignty vanished from the Persians by his act. Among his personages was Bahram Chobin. He was with Abd al-Muttalib manifest through Abraha ibn al-Sabbah and al-Julanda ibn Karkar, the master of the Elephant.
