Nor the washing and the pouring, nor a shelter for the sacrificial offering.
The meaning of the Washing (al-ightisal): it is to wash with water and be purified from the state of major ritual impurity (al-janaba). Janaba: it is, among the people of Oneness, the "avoiding" (mujanaba) of science without recognition. If you stand upon it and know it, then you have washed, and the Scholar has purified you with the science he has delivered to you.
The Sacrificial Offering (al-hady) according to the people of the outward: the beast slaughtered at Mina which is obligatory upon you. As for the people of the inward: its meaning is that it is obligatory upon you to "offer" (tahdi) science to your believing brother and to gift it to him from what God — the Mighty and Sublime — specialized you with and provided you in your religion and your world. Do not make your poor brother need to ask; rather, initiate it for him.
(487) As the Messenger — exalted be his glory — said: "Exchange gifts and you shall love one another" — meaning: let each of you gift to the other what he is capable of and what God has delivered to him of his religion and world, without him reminding him of the favor.
Nor the sanctity of a house that is clothed, nor the permission.
Meaning, the sanctity does not belong to the outward house of stone and buildings; rather, the sanctity belongs to the inward of the House, who is the Mim — exalted be his glory. Whoever recognizes Him, it becomes obligatory for him to respect the sanctity of the believer. It is forbidden for him to harm him, wrong him, broadcast a secret about him, slander him, backbite him, lie against him, look at his family with suspicion, or treat his wealth as permissible, and the like. I have already explained in the epistle The Attribute of Brothers and their Righteousness that which suffices from repeating it here.
