This is my narration from my sheikh — may God be pleased with him. I related from another aspect that the Stone [the Hijr] is Umm Salama, because the Stone is outside the Ka'ba, and likewise Umm Salama's status is unknown to the people of the outward, while in the inward she is from the House because she is the personage of the Gate.

(485) Likewise, the Lord Messenger — exalted be his glory — said: "The Stone is part of the House." His saying "whose identification is a glorification" refers to the verse before it: they are personages who glorify, sanctify, judge, and carry out; they are not a spot or a wall — so know that.

Nor the pebbles of stoning, nor a circumambulation that circles.

The Pebbles (al-jimar) that are thrown: they are stones, and first you were commanded to wash them so as not to defile your hand with them. They are seventy pebbles in origin. It was related that the three stoning pillars (al-jimar al-thalath) are the First, the Second, and the Third. The stones thrown at them correspond to the number of his personages from the Criminal Cycle (al-qubba al-janiya) to the Hashemite Cycle, the first of them being Azazil and the last being the Second. It was said: they are forty pebbles, being his personages that manifest with him in every age and time; you were commanded to throw at them — meaning: to disbelieve in them and disavow them. Likewise, the seven obstacles at Mina correspond to the seven manifestations of the Second — may God curse him — during the manifestation of our Master Amir Almuminin — exalted be his glory — the seven essential ones. For He never manifested except that the Adversary was manifest with Him, hearing the Call and witnessing the Power so that the proof is established against him. If you are quit of them, you have passed through Mina and are secured from metamorphosis.

Nor standing or striving, nor a beautiful shaving.
