I hope that what reaches you of this will be encompassed by success and dedicated to righteousness. Were it not for what I have stated regarding the obligation of obeying you and my refusal to oppose you, I would not have dared to send any knowledge of mine to you for your review, as you are its source and the guide to it. Now, since you have required me not to withhold it from you nor hide it, I ask you—O brother followed in his love and ransomed among his companions—to overlook any slips and forgive any flaws herein. Allah the Exalted, by His grace, is the Granter of success for what pleases Him, brings one closer to Him, and grants high station in His presence, through His bounty, His power, His generosity, and His favor. He is sufficient for us, and the best Disposer of affairs.
