God [the Imam] said: "You have commanded, and to You belongs the command; we carry out Your command, for the command of God is settled. You are God to whom belongs the command, the prohibition, and the will." He [Abu al-Khattab] said: "When I ascend the minaret of the mosque in Kufa and announce, then announce what I announce."
When the call for the dawn prayer came, Lord Muhammad ibn Abi Zaynab ascended the minaret in the mosque of Kufa. This act of his was as when he used to ascend Mount Abi Qubays in Mecca calling: "O people of Mecca, come to the Oneness of the Pre-eternal," declaring His name and not hiding it, just as he ascended on the Day of Ghadir Khumm and proclaimed what he proclaimed, establishing it for the sight while pointing with his finger. When he ascended the minaret of the mosque in Kufa, he called with a high voice until it reached the east and west of the earth, its plains and mountains, its land and heaven, until his voice encompassed all of God's creatures among the Higher Assembly — the near-standing angels — and among the two burdens, jinn and mankind. The fish in the depths of the seven seas and the beasts in the thickets, hills, and marshes perceived it; they were all ears like a single ear.
The Call to the assemblies of creation — of the near-standing angels, the prophets, the messengers, mankind, jinn, crawling things, beasts, and every possessor of a speaking soul or fetus — was: "I am Muhammad ibn Abd Allah, the Messenger of God to you, first and last, manifest and hidden. I deliver to you the messages of your Lord and advise you. Behold! Your Lord and Creator is manifest among you, dwelling in your midst, walking in your marketplaces, residing in your horizons, and sitting in your assemblies. He addresses you directly and returns an answer to your questions. There is no veil that hides Him from your sight, nor any 'where' that clothes Him from your observation. He commanded me, so I spoke; He sent me, so I delivered. Behold! Seek Him, for He is Ja'far ibn Muhammad; He is your First Lord, the Preceder before the first pre-eternity; He is the Goal of every seeker and the Hope of every desirer. Behold! He is Ali ibn Abi Talib."
