Abu Shu’ayb replied: "The Greatest Lord Muhammad—exalted be his glory—had commanded Salman to ascend to the pole of the heaven and manifest his essence, by which he exists in humanity, to the people of the high ranks; and to address them in the Persian tongue, then repeat the address to them in the Arabic tongue, then display the address tongue after tongue up to seven tongues. Then he was to ascend to the second station of the heaven and do the same, then to the third, the fourth, the fifth, the sixth, then to the seventh, until he brought what he had brought at the start of the pole from the first station in its perfection and completion. Then he was to descend from the seventh station of the heaven to the seventh station of the stable earth, displaying the like of that in the dark earthly worlds. Then from there to the station above it, which is the second of the earthly stations, displaying the like of what he had displayed; then in the third, then the fourth, then the fifth, then the sixth, then the seventh—which is the face toward the pole. He would thus be in the higher and lower stations without descending. When that appeared to the people of the higher and lower stations and all that lies between them of all kinds of the metamorphosed and the established, he would display what he displayed and encompass them with that in all the worlds of creation.

Salman went out and met Abu Dharr, who said to him: 'O Gate of God and mine of His secret and knowledge, what do you intend?' He replied: 'My Master commanded me to display such and such in such and such a place.' Abu Dharr said to him: 'I seek your favor in that which you might specialize me with for Him; have you qualified Abu Dharr to be with you in this state of the Master's will?' Salman said to him: 'Be with Salman wherever he may be.' When they reached the pole of the heavenly station, the will of the Ancient—who is the Lord Muhammad—extended to Salman with the command toward Abu Dharr [to speak] what Salman wanted to display of the will of his Master. Abu Dharr began in the Persian tongue and spoke that which he had not received from Salman, nor had Salman received it from his Master. His command was only 'speak in Persian, for I shall conduct the speech according to My will which I wish to display.' So Abu Dharr spoke upon the tongue of Salman the Persian.
