Thus I was to him as he is to You. There is no god but You and no creator besides You. You manifested him through the Messengership and You appeared through the Successorship (al-Wasiyya), and he manifested me through the Gatehood. He commanded me, so I orphaned the Orphans, excavated the Nakibs, noble-made the Nujaba, specialized the Specialists, purified the Sincere, and tested the Tested. So join me with the people of the ranks of Your knowledge and the treasurers of the stores of Your wisdom—those who manifest Your authority and what You have granted us of Your power. There is not one of us but has a known station, and indeed, we are those who stand in ranks, and we are those who glorify. We are Your party, the successful and the victors, and Your highest soldiers. You are One forever, Your Name is Unique forever, Your Gate is Unicity forever, Your Orphans are five forever, Your Nakibs are twelve forever, and Your Nujaba are twenty-eight forever. The Specialists, the Sincere, and the Tested are the completion of the five thousand. We and they are personages for everything You created: of the built heaven and the spread earth, sun and moon, night and day, the revolving firmament, air and winds, clouds and rain, the praised spots and the chosen gardens, the pleasing buildings and the praised plants, the poured drink and the stored1 scent, the precious jewel, and the like. And You made Your adversaries and their followers among the inverted creation the personages of every darkness and tyrant among all creation, and the like of them in repulsiveness, wickedness, dregs, filth, turbidity, impurities, and abomination. You ordained things as houses and mines, like for like and equal for equal, by the duration of Your sovereignty and the permanence of Your creation—happy for happy and wretched for wretched—until the White Return, the Radiant Cycle, the removal of the cover, and the clearing of blindness. Then comes the retribution, justice, the fulfillment of rights and rewards, and the dwellings of sovereignty and its permanence, and the execution of Your will therein in justice, truth, and sincerity. Then for every science there is what lies beyond that, which belongs to You. It is upon us to be satisfied with You and surrender to Your command." Then I fell prostrate.
