That was on the day our Master — exalted be His name — commanded him to enter the mosque, deliver a sermon, and establish the proof against the tyrants and the people of apostasy. It was the day He said to him: "Salsal, I give you the Clarification (al-Bayan) and grant you the Proof," and He established him as a banner for the believers, saying: "Salman is a tree and you are its branches." That occurred on Sunday, two nights past of Dhu al-Hijjah, which is the year in which the Lord Mim manifested the Occultation.
(436) As for our Lord Jabir ibn Yazid al-Ju'fi — peace be upon him — the Gate: our Master al-Baqir — exalted be his glory — placed his hand on his chest, and he [Jabir] felt the coolness of his fingertips in his back. He said regarding him: "Jabir is the Proof of God in His earth and His heaven over His creation." Then He commanded him to clarify and call to God openly. He called by the command of his Master — exalted be his glory — and declared the divinity of His Meaning. He was seized and a heated anvil was placed upon his chest until its redness vanished (the report is long in its explanation).
Likewise, Abu al-Khattab Muhammad ibn Ismail ibn Abi Zaynab al-Kahili — peace be upon him — the Gate, called out twice: The first of them was his public call and declaration atop the minaret of the mosque in Kufa at night regarding the spiritual dimension of our Master Ja'far the High, the Most High, al-Sadiq — exalted be his glory — until the call reached Baghdad from Kufa at that time, falling upon the ears of al-Mansur while he was sleeping on his bed, causing him great distress.
His second call: when he broke the army and emerged from the House of Provision (Dar al-Rizq) in Kufa and was fought by Isa ibn Musa at the back of Khuza'a; we shall explain what we have transmitted of that after the completion of the section. Our Lord Umar ibn al-Furat — peace be upon him — the Gate, called to the spiritual dimension of the Master Abu Ja'far the Second, Muhammad ibn Ali al-Rida — exalted be his glory — when our Master pointed to him.
