and when the Name manifested through Yahya, the Gate manifested through Jabir ibn Yazid al-Ju'fi; and when the Name manifested through Jabir ibn Yazid al-Ju'fi, the Gate manifested through Abu al-Khattab Muhammad ibn Abi Zaynab; and when the Name manifested through Abu al-Khattab Muhammad ibn Abi Zaynab, the Gate manifested through al-Mufaddal ibn Umar al-Ju'fi; and when the Name manifested through al-Mufaddal ibn Umar, the Gate manifested through Muhammad ibn al-Mufaddal; and when the Name manifested through Muhammad ibn al-Mufaddal, the Gate manifested through Umar ibn al-Furat; and when the Name manifested through Umar ibn al-Furat, the Gate manifested through Muhammad ibn Nusayr. The Gate then vanished with the occultation of the Meaning—glory be to His majesty. This is the clarification of the Manifestation of Intermingling. The matter remained thus from the beginning of the Muhammadan manifestation to the end of the line of Imamate: the Name manifests through the Gate, and the Gate through the Deal (al-Safaq) who qualifies for his core, until the manifestation of Abu Shu’ayb—exalted be his glory—whereupon the manifestation returned as it was in the Adamite Cycle: the Gate as Gabriel, a hidden luminous being.
(425) Regarding this, our Lord Muhammad—exalted be his glory—says: "What occurred with the first of us occurs with the last of us, exactly, step by step," and that is what we have explained.
These are eleven stations for Lord Muhammad—exalted be his glory—in Gatehood, so that his names are completed as seventy-four names: sixty-three names in the stations of Prophecy, Messengership, and the Imams, followed by these eleven Risings, as our Lord and sheikh Abu Abd Allah al-Husayn ibn Hamdan al-Khasibi—may God ennoble his station—said:
Seven names He was named, a Namer and not a named thing
