The reality of the Night Journey (al-Isra) is the elevation of the status of the Sin from what it was. This is because Lord Salman—peace be upon him—remained throughout all the manifestations and cycles appearing only in Gatehood. In the Muhammadan Cycle, Lord Mim—by the command of his Master, the High, the Great—elevated him to a rank higher than the station of Gatehood, more radiant and more noble. This was His manifestation through him, attributing him to Himself, joining him to His collective, and adding him to the number of His persons, until His manifestation through Lord Abu Shu’ayb—peace be upon him.

As for the meaning of His word: {Glory be to Him who took His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing}1—know, may you know goodness, that all the mosques mentioned by God the Almighty in His Book, such as His word: {[They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right—only because they say, "Our Lord is God." And were it not that God checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of God is much mentioned. And God will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, God is Powerful and Exalted in Might}2.

And the words of the Mighty and Sublime: {Say, "My Lord has commanded justice and that you maintain your faces [in prayer] at every mosque, and invoke Him, sincere to Him in religion." As He began you, you will return}3. All of these are personages of Lord Mim, to whom obedience is mandatory upon all servants.
