He fell prostrate in gratitude to God the Almighty and said: "Praise be to God who did not cause me to die until I recognized my Imam." Our Master—exalted be his glory—said to him: "And how did you recognize your Imam, O Abu Khalid?" He replied: "O my Master, because You called me by the name my mother named me, which no other person had heard." Our Master said to him: "And what is the meaning of Kankar?" He replied: "O my Master, You know it better than I." Our Master said to him: "You were heavy in her womb when you were a fetus, so she used to say in the language of Kabul: 'O Kankar,' meaning 'O heavy burden'." The hadith is long.

When the speaking Master manifested as Ali ibn al-Husayn, Yahya ibn Ma'mar ibn Umm al-Tawil al-Thumali was the Gate for the speaking Master Ali and for our Master Muhammad al-Baqir, the silent one, he being the House—exalted be his glory.
When the speaking Master—exalted be His mention—manifested as Muhammad al-Baqir, Jabir ibn Yazid al-Ju'fi (who is Abu Muhammad—peace be upon him) was the Gate for the speaking Master Muhammad al-Baqir and for our silent Master Ja'far al-Sadiq, who is the Magnificent House—exalted be his glory.
When the speaking Master—exalted be his glory—manifested as Ja'far al-Sadiq, the Gate was the Father of Virtues Muhammad ibn Ismail ibn Abi Zaynab al-Kahili al-Bazzaz for the speaking Master Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq and for our silent Master Musa, who is the Magnificent House—exalted be his glory.
