Our sheikh Abu Abd Allah al-Husayn ibn Hamdan al-Khasibi—may God ennoble his station—also said in his epistle: "The meaning of Rozbah: because his recognition is the 'day' of the Knowers and a security against being stripped of the recognition of the Creator and the Name; and the meaning of bih is 'good' in Persian, and the name of the Gate is Good (Khayr)."

He remained manifest and speaking with every House God manifested upon His earth, guiding to the Name, his Master, and calling to the Oneness of the Pre-eternal, his Meaning. He was manifest with Jesus—exalted be his glory—alongside the Meaning, Simon—exalted be his glory—son of Jonah, the Worshipped. Then with Daniel and Dhu al-Qarnayn (Alexander son of Philip the Roman), and Ardashir ibn Babak the Persian and his son Shapur. Then with Lu’ayy ibn Ghalib, Murra, Kilab, Qusay, Abd Manaf, Amr al-Ula (who is Hashim), Abd al-Muttalib (who is Amram), and Abd Allah (whose name is Abd Manaf)—he being Rozaba, and he being the Gate, peace be upon him.

(391) It appeared in some narrations related to me by my lord and sheikh Abu al-Fath Muhammad ibn al-Hasan—may God be pleased with him—that the Gate was manifest with the Lord Joseph—exalted be his glory—as his brother Benjamin; and he was manifest with Jesus as John the Daylamite.

(392) He also related that the Meaning was manifest among the Greeks as Aristoteles—exalted be his glory; the Name—exalted be his glory—was manifest as the Great Plato; the Gate was manifest as Socrates—peace be upon him; the two Orphans were manifest as Hippocrates and Galen; and the Adversary was manifest as Sophista—may God curse him. Bakr ibn Ahmad al-Abadani related in the Book of Manifestations that the Meaning—exalted be His praise—was manifest as al-Humaysa’, and his Gate was Adad—peace be upon him.
