God (Allah) is a name exclusive to the Meaning; it consists of three letters [in Arabic script: ا ل ه], and Ali consists of three letters.

As for His word—Glory be to Him: {And when God said, "O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as two deities besides God'?" He said, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within my soul, and I do not know what is within Your soul. Indeed, it is You who are Knower of the unseen."}1. Its meaning is: "You know what is in my occultation, and I do not know what is in Your occultation and the concealed part of Your secret, O Eye of Time and Cause of Place. I said to them only what You commanded me: that you worship God, my Lord and your Lord." This is a command from the Name—Majestic is his mention—and a proof from him that worship belongs to the Meaning—glory be to His majesty.

Then the Name—who is Muhammad, exalted be his glory—manifested in the Hashemite Cycle through five persons: (Muhammad, Fatir, al-Hasan, al-Husayn, Muhsin). The Ancient, Pre-eternal Meaning—exalted be his glory—was manifest in Essence, not through any of His names or attributes.

The Gate was manifest as Salman the Persian—who is Rozaba ibn al-Marzuban, peace be upon him. His Orphans were: al-Miqdad ibn al-Aswad al-Kindi, Abu Dharr Jundub ibn Junada al-Ghifari, Abd Allah ibn Rawaha al-Ansari, Uthman ibn Maz’un al-Yamani, and Qanbar ibn Kadan ibn Ghurara al-Dusi—peace be upon them.
