Another aspect regarding this: he "wiped" (encompassed) the higher and lower worlds. Among the best that has appeared regarding this: there is no one except that in him is an anointment from him, while there is no anointment in him except from the Pre-eternal Lord—Exalted—He whom nothing of His creatures resembles, and He is the High, the Great.
Yet another aspect: he anointed the world with Names and Attributes, and anointed himself with a Name and an Attribute so that form might draw near to form; therefore he was named al-Masih. He—exalted be his glory—passed by a crucified man and said: "I created the world in the image of the Lord—Exalted."
(372) It is related that he—exalted be his glory—passed by a slain man and said: "You killed, so you were killed; and your killer shall be killed."
And the words of the Sublime—recounting him: {[And make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who says], "Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of God. And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead by permission of God. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers."}1
This is a statement both outward and inward, interpreting a manifest truth: that the Messiah creates, provides, gives life, and causes death by the permission of his Pre-eternal Master, {There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing}. Exalted is He far above what the wrongdoers and deniers say. All of that belonged to him and was in his hand.
