To the Ark of Noah is the end of my pursuit, so cease your blame of me, O censurer.
I am not one to listen to what you say, so hear a gift of discourses in clarity.
The Ark consists of persons of great import, through them my delights and joys are completed.
It sails in a deep sea that does not overflow, of sciences great in worth and abundant.
Salman is surely of it, so be discerning; O brother of alertness, he became the best sailor.
Its sails are Knowledge and Oneness its ropes, for it was constructed without planks.
Its lights were created before our Adam, along with the Pre-eternal, with certainty and explanation.
Until when God willed their production, they returned as bodies possessing the like of souls.
So hear the intuition of one who, by their love, became captivated and attached in a tranquil state.
"Drowning" is the trial (fitna) as we mentioned. His word—the Almighty: {Until when Our command came and the oven overflowed, We said, "Load upon it of every [kind] two mates and your family, except those about whom the word has preceded, and [also] those who believed." And none has believed with him except a few.}1 The Oven (al-tannur) is the Second—may God curse him. His saying "overflowed" (fara) intends his "turn" (jawla), for he has a turn in every age until the believer thinks the Truth has died; at that point the Truth comes and crushes falsehood. Noah—exalted be his glory—remained steady in his affair after the Flood, and his call stood until the occultation of Ya’rub—exalted be his glory.
