God—exalted be His praise—said regarding the Companions of the Right, who are the people of faith and the response to obedience, what the Noble Book spoke: {And the companions of the right—what are the companions of the right? [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed, and stalks of bananas, and shade extended, and water poured forth, and fruit, abundant, neither limited nor forbidden, and raised couches.}1

He said in describing the Companions of the Left and what is prepared for them: {And the companions of the left—what are the companions of the left? [They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water and a shade of black smoke, neither cool nor noble. Indeed, they were, before that, indulging in affluence, and they used to persist in the great sin.}2 May God protect us, you, and all believers from them, and make us among those who heard and understood and were guided by the Truth. We return to the completion of the answer regarding what you asked concerning the knowledge of the Name and his status toward the Meaning.

(340) It is related from our Master al-Sadiq—exalted be his glory—that he said: "Whoever worships the Name without the Meaning has worshipped an originated thing; whoever worships the Name and the Meaning together has associated partners; but whoever worships the Meaning without the Name has attained the Worshipped through his worship." This is clear from the Master's word; in it is sufficiency and richness for him whom God grants success.
