We have previously said that the Meaning—Exalted—did not produce or bring into being anything other than the Name. From this is His word, the Mighty and Sublime: {This is the creation of God. So show Me what those other than Him have created. Rather, the wrongdoers are in clear error.}1

The Lord Name created the Gate and the members of the higher and lower ranks—peace be upon them—and his name is "Be" (Kun). I have composed an epistle regarding the fact that the Mim's name is "Be," and I prove it through what I have known and related. I hope it reaches you so you may come across it. It contains commendable paths which youth and the assistance of time aided me in composing. The People of Oneness have split into two groups:

One group said: The higher and lower worlds are the creation of the Gate by the command of the Veil.

Another group said: Rather, they are the creation of the Name.

I say—and God is the grantor of success toward what is right: The higher and lower worlds and the sovereignty in its entirety were created by the Lord Mim. I prove this and argue against my adversary using the words of my grandfather al-Khasibi—may God ennoble his station—in the jurisprudence of his epistle, which is the pillar for the People of Oneness, where he mentioned the Attributes which are created things (makhluqat), not creators (khaliqat).

These are created things, and they possess all matters of intent and attainment in the means of the heavens; however, to create—they do not possess that. The Pre-eternal did not specialize anyone with it except Muhammad, as He made him His Name and His existing Veil without "how" or encompassment. For his core is known by none but his Creator, the Meaning—Exalted. Muhammad—exalted be his glory—does not encompass anything of the core of his Master, nor does he reach a limit. How could it be otherwise when He is the Originator of the Goal?
