[God] said, "You will not see Me, but look at the mountain; if it should remain in its place, then you will see Me." But when his Lord transfigured to the mountain, He rendered it as dust, and Moses fell unconscious. And when he awoke, he said, "Exalted are You! I have repented to You, and I am the first of the believers."}1 The Mosaic soul of the Mim, which appeared from the light of the Essence, remained; it did not crumble nor cease.

Our sheikh and exemplar, the Lord Abu Abd Allah al-Khasibi—may God brighten his face—has indicated in his epistle through which God guided us from misguidance, saying: The meaning of His word: {This is a warner from the former warners}2 is that He is the First Warner and He is the Last. The multiple persons of the warners are all one; those who manifest through Prophecy and Messengership are the Name, whose inward is God, the Soul, and the Veil.

This is witnessed by his poetic statement in his poem beginning with The Gate of Guidance:

God, His inward is a Name, and His outward is Prophecy and Messages without deviation.

And similarly his saying in the poem beginning O Secret of my passing:

Just as the Messenger is Messages that appeared through him, along with Prophecy as faith and a pillar.

And the inward of the Name is a soul that cautioned, and for it is the Soul of Divinity, firmly established.

In some manuscripts: "the Soul of Deification, with certainty indeed certain." Thus he—may God sanctify his soul—established the proof and evidence. It is for the seeker to intend the path from the Lord’s knowledge.
