However, the speaker of this doctrine1 wanders blindly in the path of misguidance; he has gained no great portion of knowledge, nor has he understood the simplest phrasing. Had he known anything of what the preceding sheikhs—may God be pleased with them—transmitted from the Masters—exalted be their glory—regarding the knowledge of splitting the Name from the closed mass, his worship of the Truth would have been validated. He would have established the Name whose inward is pre-eternity, clearing him of the manner of origination like other originated things, out of glorification for the light of the Essence from which his Creator invented him and manifested him for His will. He would have placed origination upon the Muhammadan Form with which He familiarized the nations, thereby following the people of knowledge from before.
(301) As our Master Amir Almuminin—exalted be his glory—said in some of his speech: "Whoever recognizes the separation from the connection, the splitting from the mass, and motion from stillness, and isolates the Attributes from the Essence—that is pure Oneness."
Its clarification is the word of God the Almighty in the story of Moses—exalted be his glory: {And when Moses arrived at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said: "My Lord, show me [Yourself] that I may look at You." [God] said: "You will not see Me, but look at the mountain; if it should remain in its place, then you will see Me." But when his Lord transfigured to the mountain, He rendered it as dust, and Moses fell unconscious. And when he awoke, he said: "Exalted are You! I have repented to You, and I am the first of the believers."}2
