The Name is other than the Namer; the Messenger is other than the One who sent him; and the Place is other than the Originator. This is because the Name—exalted be his glory—was named by Him; a Sender sent and chose him; and an Originator named his being and produced him. He is not, in reality, the Intended God; rather, he is His servant-Name, not the Worshipped, and His Messenger to the people of truth and denial. By this, he bore witness that he is His prophet, His messenger, and His servant in need of Him; that He is his God upon whom he relies, whom he invokes, to whom he entreats and communions for the removal of harm and relief of distress, and through whom he triumphs over enemies in trials and war.

Among the clear evidences and firm proofs indicating that the Lord is the Supreme Name, His servant, His honored specialist, and His Messenger to all nations, is the witness he manifested which cannot be refuted. The monotheist must affirm it in his worship and intent: his public testimony and clear call: "I bear witness that there is no deity except God, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God."

And the word of God—the Sublime and Exalted—in His revealed Book, containing the clarification of every difficulty: {And He revealed to His servant what He revealed. The heart did not lie [about] what it saw.}1 And the confession of the Mim—exalted be his glory—that he is a Messenger: {Say: "O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of God to you all, to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death. So believe in God and His Messenger, the unlettered prophet, who believes in God and His words, and follow him that you may be guided."}2

And the word of his Creator: {O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And God will protect you from the people. Indeed, God does not guide the disbelieving people.}3
