(277) The Messenger of God—exalted be his glory—said: "May God curse the Evil Eyes." They are the First, the Second, the Third, Mu'awiya, and Amr ibn al-Aas. The second [unpraiseworthy] shade is in Surah al-Waqi'a in the mention of the companions of the left: {And the companions of the left—what are the companions of the left? [They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water and a shade of black smoke, neither cool nor noble. Indeed, they were, before that, indulging in affluence, and they used to persist in the great sin.}1

(278) It is related from our Lord Salman the Persian—peace be upon him—that he saw Aisha in one of the raids with the Messenger of God—exalted be his glory—in a palanquin (howdah). Salman was beside our Master Amir Almuminin—exalted be his glory. Our Master said: "O Serahang of the believers!" He replied: "At your service, O Kay Khosrow." He said: "Speak of the Yellow One and the Red One." Our Master said: "Yes (Areh)."

This tree mentioned as Tabrik is of great benefit, as has been recorded. If anything falls upon it, the tree destroys it; if the tree falls upon anything, it destroys it. Whoever recognizes it, it saves him.

The Armenians named him: Afriqa

It is derived from "separation" (farq). Amir Almuminin—exalted be his glory—is the separator between truth and falsehood in word and deed. Whoever recognizes Him by His divinity is of His party; whoever denies His divinity is of the second "group"2 and its party. For He was named al-Faruq (the Separator), since none but He ever truly separated truth from falsehood. For this reason, He was named "the Remedy, the Separator," because He separates between the Name and the body. Whoever recognizes our Master Amir Almuminin—exalted be his glory—by His divinity has separated from ignorance and followed the Truth,
