His name among the Romans: Bitrusiyya

They intended by it that He is the Patriarch (al-Batrak), meaning the Patriarch of Patriarchs. it is related that they intended by it Mount Sinai (Tur Sina) due to His transfiguration, for He—exalted be his glory—transfigured to the Lord Moses the Interlocutor—exalted be his glory—at Mount Sinai. Lord Messiah—exalted be his glory—clarified this, saying: "The Light came from Mount Sinai, rose and ascended from Nazareth, and shone and beamed from the mountains of Paran." We have known that the mountains of Paran are the mountains of Mecca; so the Romans intended by it what we mentioned.

His name among the Persians: Bariyya

It is taken from the creation of the world, meaning: He created them (bara'ahum). Lord al-Khasibi—may God ennoble his station—said: Rather, He is the Creator (Bari) of him who created the creatures. The one who created the world is the Lord Mim—exalted be his glory—and he has a Creator who created him, who is the High, the Great.

His name among the Zanj: Harbiyya

Its interpretation is a spear (harba) carried by the Zanj in which the King takes pride; if it falls upon a thing, it destroys and annihilates it. Whoever carries it is empowered by it and protected from his enemy. Thus, they named Him by the name of this spear. Likewise, whoever recognizes Him is empowered by His knowledge and grasps the rope of God, as our Master—exalted be His bounties—said in one of His sermons upon the pulpit of His majesty: "The lowly is empowered by affirming Him, and the mighty is humbled by denying Him."

His name among the Abyssinians: Tabrik

In their lands, Tabrik refers to a tree they worship; it is fragrant in scent and provides abundant shade. This is derived from the word of God the Almighty: {So he watered [their flocks] for them; then he turned away to the shade and said, "My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need."}1
