That is God, the High, the Great. {Sights do not perceive Him, but He perceives all sights; and He is the Subtle, the Acquainted}. He was when there was no place, then He produced place from a state where no place existed. Since it is necessary that He is not in a place defined in relation to Him, the Meaning—exalted be his glory—is the Originator and the Name is the Place. The Originator is independent of place, while place is in need of the Originator. The two worlds, high and low, are in need of the Place—who is the Lord Name, Muhammad, exalted be his glory—to enable them to know the Lord, the High, the Great, and to guide them to Him.

This is because the Meaning—glory be to Him—was when there was no place, no age, no time, no period, no era, no constructed heaven, no outstretched earth, no shining sun, no luminous moon, no sparkling stars, no light, no darkness, no night, no day, no land, no sea, no elevation, and no depression. When He willed to make the closed mass a split entity, stillness into motion, and existence into observation, He invented the Lord Muhammad—exalted be his glory—who is His Great and Noble Name, from the light of His Essence. He established his person, called him, addressed him, and communed with him. He made him His most majestic Name by which He is invoked, His nearest Veil, and His Supreme Example. The Mighty and Sublime said regarding him: {And He it is who begins creation; then He repeats it, and that is even easier for Him. To Him belongs the highest example in the heavens and the earth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise}1. He entrusted to him the keys of His kingdom and the creation of His beings, making him the path to Him and the guide to Him. The lineage of the Meaning—exalted be his glory—is the Chapter of Sincerity (Surah al-Ikhlas) to its end.
