God—exalted be His mention—said: {So I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We are certainly able to replace them with better than them, and We are not to be outrun}1. He also said: {Indeed, what you are promised is true}2. This is the oath of the Supreme Name—exalted be his glory—to his Master.

"The Easts" refers to Abu Talib; "The Wests" refers to al-Hasan the Eleventh, the Master of the Army—exalted be his glory. {Indeed, what you are promised is true}: the promise is the Luminous Return and the manifestation of our Master, the Prince of Bees, as the One of vast knowledge during the Radiant Cycle and the Resplendent Return. The Recompense is the fulfillment of rights, where the people of affirmation achieve salvation, joining the People of Purity, while every tyrant and transgressor is slain, leaving the people of denial, rejection, and blindness in exemplary punishment.

Likewise, His word: {Lord of the East and the West; there is no deity except Him, so take Him as a Disposer of affairs}3. The East is that from which the Meaning—exalted be His majesty—shone and manifested; the West is that wherein the Meaning set during His manifestation, becoming hidden from the eyes of the people of impurity and turbidity. {There is no deity except Him, so take Him as a Disposer of affairs}.

(203) It is related from the Messenger of God—exalted be his glory—by consensus, that he said to our Master Amir Almuminin—exalted be his glory—a statement recognized by the People of Elevation: "O Ali, you are my Disposer of affairs and my Successor." Later, he clarified in another instance: "O God, You are the Companion in travel and the Successor over the family, wealth, and children; none but You can combine both." How beautiful is this witness and how great is its clarification for the people of insight and those whom God has cured of doubt and bewilderment.
