In establishing the existence of the Exalted Creator, Mighty is His Might, we have presented what we know according to our recognition and what God (Glory be to Him) has guided us to and granted us success in. We then sought evidence through the guidance of the Intellect, which is the fourth proof mentioned previously. It is the root of every mercy; through it, we recognized that the God to whom the Prophets called for worship, and whose gnosis the possessors of resolve among the Messengers indicated—saying that He is their Sender and Creator, and that He (Glory be to Him) is their Master, the Amir of the Bees (Majestic is His Praise and sanctified are His Names)—is the one who manifested these powers and signs, made clear these actions and miracles, and informed of the knowledge of what was and what is to come. He is the God of the earths and the heavens. The possessors of resolve among the Messengers—who are: Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (Mighty is Their Might)—called unto him, announced his Oneness, and He is their God whom they worship, upon whom they rely, through whom they seek means, and in whom they find their divinity.
THE POSSESSORS OF RESOLVE (ULI AL-AZM) AMONG THE MESSENGERS
(194) It is narrated from our Master al-Sadiq, Mighty is His Might, that he was asked: "O our Master, why were these five called 'the possessors of resolve' among the Messengers?" He said: "Because they resolved upon the Oneness of the Amir of the Bees, Mighty and Majestic. This is because the Messenger, Mighty is His Might, when he appears, calls to the Sender; and the Sender, Mighty is His Might, when He appears, calls to Himself and indicates toward His own Essence. Were it not for that, the world would not recognize the Lord from the one ruled (al-marbub), nor the Power from the Powerful, nor the God from the deified, nor the Pre-eternal from the originated, nor the Messenger from the Sender."
