I am a horn of iron; I am new in every time. I am the proclaimer of the Prophets and the sender of the Messengers. To me the Messengers pointed, and by my Oneness the Books spoke."

And his saying in the Tatanjiyya Sermon, making it heard by all of creation:

I am the One, the Pre-eternal, I shall never fade, I rotate the ages and I annihilate the generations. I conduct all matters according to their decrees, I bring into being whatever I will to be. The Trustee of the God who singled me out, For my obedience to Him, and accepted me as Trustee. I witnessed the tyrants of old, Just as I have witnessed them in the end. I repeat them through the changing years, Upon them, yet they perceive not the years. How many a recurrence (karra) they have in punishment, That returns upon them, yet they do not understand. Habtar led them astray throughout the ages, So they remained accepting of his allegiance. Soon they shall meet what they loathe, And that which they hope for must surely come to pass. But my followers (Shi'a) are the successful ones, And from the obedience of God they never weary. They fly wherever they wish within The shadows of the Gardens, and they are not barred. By their preference for the call of the Successors, They are, in their Gardens, eternal.

So turn back to me, O people of my allegiance and the mine of my followers! For I am the Hoped-for Hope, and the Superior one, not the subordinate; the Carrier, not the carried. I am the fashioner of the innate nature and the decreer of the crescents. I am the Eternity that never perishes. I am the horn of iron, the wonderful and brave leader, the Originator and the Restorer, the Doer of whatever He intends. I am the mobilizer of armies, the Master of the watering-places, and the one who ascends the heights. I am the one who brings the distant near. I am the Goal without limit. I am the Manifest and Existing, and the Hidden without concealment.
