Following him, gifted in the Fourth Aqueous Sphere, is the second of the birds in the meanings of knowledge and secrets. He is the most abundant luminous person, the most fragrant musk. He is the pouring fresh water, more ripe than the shade of the drop that nourishes plants. He belongs to the celestial stars of the Kingdom—the pride of the overflowing planets that are sustained and enlightened. They are the piercing ones that glisten from the constellations. Upon their trial, they manifested utter submission to their Master and Goal, watching with pure devotion.

The most magnificent greetings and peace,

and the most abundant fragrances and favors, with a scented gift from the Pure Presence and the Creative Mercy. From the radiant countenance upon the shining luminous worlds, specifically the wandering spiritual celestial bodies: the one hundred and nineteen thousand of the seven magnificent ranks.

The first is the degree of the Near Ones (al-Muqarrabūn), the overflowing and surging seas. The second is the degree of the Cherubim (al-Karūbiyyūn), the high and flourishing. The third is the degree of the Spirituals (al-Rūḥāniyyūn), the rich and enveloping. The fourth is the degree of the Sanctified (al-Muqaddasūn), the lofty and manifest. The fifth is the degree of the Wayfarers (al-Sā’iḥūn), the complete and abundant. The sixth is the degree of the Listeners (al-Mustami‘ūn), the brilliant and mindful. The seventh is the degree of the Followers (al-Lāḥiqūn), the healing and thankful.

These are the seven righteous ones who drew near to their Master and preceded in affirmation. The distress of temperament and repetition was removed from them. They found rest in the Divinity (al-Lāhūt) away from the weariness of the worldly abode, and were sanctified by the Holy Spirit from all impurities. They wandered through the Kingdom (al-Malakūt) alongside the world of lights; they heard the call and the word, welcoming it with glad tidings. They attained the grace of those who preceded them, specifically through warning and excuse, and they wore the crown of glory.
