So when this rank is attained by the Gnostic, and he is—in his speech—stronger in consideration and clearer in argument and remembrance, he becomes a Prayer in Reality, connected to Allah, his heart filled with fear and piety.

As he says:

"O Present, O Existent, O You from whom began what returns to Him; and there shone from His Light what sets within Him, without denial."

Indeed, Man is only approached [by ruin] through his heedlessness, his lack of consideration, and his turning away from the Sciences. As if he is content with transmission (Naql), reports, and speech beneath which there is no actual acquisition, without knowing what is intended by the utterance nor what is indicated by the meaning.

And bring to your mind, upon the mention of the Master (Al-Sayyid)—may Allah sanctify his spirit and illuminate his shrine—his saying:

"The Presence of the Crown of Highness, the Qibla of Guidance, and the Path to the Supreme Assembly (Al-Mala' al-A'la)."

Is this not a teaching, an instruction, and an alert for the possessor of rectitude (Rushd) to understand the indication regarding the Supreme Assembly? For it is the Guidance for whoever is guided and follows the knowledge of the Mawali.
