So if you are ignorant, O reader of this book of mine, of this Form and Attribute which leads to the Reality of Gnosis, then loss has become your companion and you have returned with deprivation. You would be like one deceiving himself, absent from his intellect and his goodness. Allah the Almighty said:

{They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not.}¹

And if you follow in the path of your religion the way of Imitation (Taqlid) and avoid what qualifies you for the Reality of Gnosis and Tawhid, you would be like the one who says with his tongue: "There is no god but Allah," while his heart is empty of what he said.
