The Manifestation of your Master is a Mercy for the one who believed and acknowledged, and a Punishment for the one who denied and rejected1.

And know—may Allah grant success to you and us—that humans possess Intellects in Potentiality (Bil-Quwwa), not in Actuality (Bil-Fi'l); they are obtained through knowledge and instruction. Souls in Potentiality and Actuality; through them, demands are perceived, and they are the instrument for acquisition.

Footnotes

1After the Divine Gate-Rank (which is stripped of configurations and shapes, and of everything that crosses the mind), comes the Rank of Lights Perceived by the Senses. Its reality is Abstract; it is the Station of the Total Gate (The Manifest Universal Soul).Meaning: The Visible Luminous Form manifesting to the eyes with the attribute of Radiance (Diya'), which is the Form of the Light (The Active Intellect) or the Seventh Universe (Al-Kawn al-Sabi'), the Extender (Al-Mumidd). It is the Holiness of True Gnosis. From that Universe, the Fixed Substantive Scientific Forms emanate. In the Science of the Inward (Ilm al-Batin), it is written as J-N-N-H:If the Jim has a Kasra (Jinna): It means Veil/Concealment (Sitr) in reality. If the Jim has a Fatha (Janna): It means Garden/Paradise, which is the Gnosis of our Master the Prince. In the rank of this witnessed Radiant Theophany, you say: "Those are the attributes of the Light, the shirts of Manifestation, the mine of Indication, and the tongues of Expression..."The Visible Form is the Veil of Power. Had the Meaning not appeared through it, His existence would not be proven, and we would not be able to infer Him. "(It is not Him in totality, nor in restriction, nor in collection, nor in encompassment), nor is He other than it in Reality and Substance." Because the Almighty does not manifest through other than His Essence. He (The Almighty) veiled His Essence with His Light, and appeared as a disclosure to the eyes. "Everyone sees You as his own eye (or essence), For You are the Mirror of Existence." Yes: Everyone sees Him according to their receptivity, readiness, and merit. Some see Him closer than their jugular vein (seeing Him as Light and Power). Some see Him far from the rank of Divinity (these are the Deniers). The Master Muhammad (Exalted be His Might) asked Salman and Al-Miqdad (May Mercy be upon them) during the duel of our Master, the Prince of Bees (Amir al-Nahl — Ali), Exalted be His Might, against the polytheists: "How did you two see Ali?" Al-Miqdad said: "I saw him fragmented according to the number of the people, and everyone was being pursued by Ali." Salman said: "I see him having not moved from the edge of this trench/pit." The Master Muhammad said: "And I see him having not moved from the Throne of Mercy."
