Introduction
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Praise be to Allah, a praise by which we attain His pleasure, obtain His kindness and the meeting with Him. We ask Him of His generosity, from that which He has poured forth upon His Awliya (saints), and we seek guidance from Him for a mercy that connects us to the meeting with Him, and includes us in the company of those whom He has supported and guided, and whom He has drawn near to His Presence and chosen, and whom He has liberated from the isthmuses of darkness and saved. Indeed, He is the Hearer of supplication, the Doer of what He wills.
And His blessings be upon Muhammad, the one of the Praised Station, the Intended One, he who is indicated by the bowing and the prostration.
And upon the Gate of his guidance, his lights, his veils, his curtains, his mantle, and his chosen ones—a blessing that connects us through them to His knowledge, His kindness, and His bounty. Indeed, He is Generous, Noble, High, Magnificent.
Allah the Exalted said—and He is the most truthful of speakers—: {"And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me."}1
And since Allah is the Originator of every existent, and the Encompasser of every intended objective, and [since] the paths to His knowledge [Ma'rifa] diverge, and the ways to His Oneness [Tawhid] differ, Allah Exalted said : {And do not follow [other] ways, for they will separate you from His way.}2
