And if you look at Him from the perspective of the existents, you find Him possessing multiplied, divided configurations (Hay'at), and you perceive His "Dense" subsisting by His Subtle1. Yet His Substance is One, upholding the Whole, filled with Light.
And He is the Person of the Gate, His Attribute, His Description, and His Form emanated from the Originator of the Whole and the Bestower of Generosity. And to him is the indication by His saying:
{Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth}.2
Footnotes
1[From the perspective that we see Him]: "Every day He is in a matter/state." We find Him possessing many divided and renewed configurations; this is an indication of the States (Halat) and Raiments (Hulal) appearing to the eyes."You perceive His Dense subsisting by His Subtle": Meaning, you knew that the Sensory Attribute seen by the eye subsists by the Ancient Divine Power (Al-Qudra al-Rabbaniyya al-Qadima), the Abstract and Absolute.
2Surah An-Nur, Verse 35.
