He [the Veil] is the goal of this creation, the Possessor of the Clear Call, and the Manifest Invitation, whereas he called to Allah, and from him appeared Speech, Power, and Tawhid (Declaration of Oneness).
Do you not know that Allah, the Ancient Eternity, appeared via the Goal—which is the Oneness Form (Al-Surah al-Ahadiyyah)—and spoke through the Meaning-ness?
And the 'Meanings' (Al-Ma'ani) are the Veils, because the 'Meanings' are contrary to the 'Meaning.' The Meaning is the Singular (Al-Fard), while the 'Meanings' are diverse forms1. And the Veil is that by which Allah veils Himself.
So this is the knowledge of the Goal, the Meaning, the Originated Meanings, and the knowledge of the Veil. Indeed, the Veil only indicates the Meaning through the Power, and the Power indicates Allah through the Veil.
