And the perception of the Veil and the Gate within the Abstracts and Intelligibles is worthy [only] of the possessors of discipline (Riyada), knowledge, inspiration, and perpetuation (Ta'bid)1.

And [it is worthy of] the Emanation specific to the Human Persons from the Divine Care; those whom He inspired with His knowledge and the knowledge of His Name, His Veil, His Attribute, and His Guide.

And His proof is His saying, the Almighty—and He is the most truthful of speakers:

Footnotes

1The text is clear, and to deepen the understanding, we cite the following sayings:Al-Mawla Al-Askari (Exalted be His Might) said:"Whoever does not have an established attribute is on the verge of being nothing."Sheikh al-Din (Sanctified be his secret) said:"If He did not appear in the Visible Form, His existence would not be proven, nor would His witnessing be valid, nor His certainty established."Al-Jali (Sanctified be his secret) said:*"Indeed, the Meaning (Al-Ma'na)—the Almighty—appeared to humanity as a human, with a body and a spirit, by way of representation (Tamthil) and formation (Tashkil)—Exalted be the Most High above the [physical] body.So the Spirit is the Unseen which is not perceived, and it is the Pre-eternal Unitary Essence. And the Body is its Light—I mean the Light of the Essence. And the Name (Ism) is His Spirit from the Light of the Essence; and his Body is from the Light of His Light. He created him by the command of his Master. And from his body was the Spirit of Salman."*It came in Al-Jadwal al-Nurani:*"Indeed, the Pre-eternal (Al-Azal)—the Almighty—invented a Verbal, Intellectual, Spiritual Person to manifest His Signs. And He invented from the Light of that Person another Luminous Person, and made him the repository of His Names and Attributes. And He made the sources and resources of His judgments flow in these two Forms. He made one of them for Indication and Allusion (The Name/Hijab).And the other for the Restriction of Expression (The Gate/Bab).So He (Sanctified and Exalted) manifests through whichever of them He wills, in whatever He wills. He made one of them to manifest the Miracle (Mu'jiz). And the other to manifest Incapacity ('Ajz) [i.e., servitude].Yet He (The Almighty) in His Unity ceases not from His being. For He (The Almighty) is not, in the reality of His Essence, an attribute that is capable from one aspect and capable-upon (Maqdura) from another. Rather, that exists in the Gate and the Veil..."*Until his saying:"And He made the Mim (Name) the Attribute of Knowledge, and the Sin (Gate) the Attribute of Power."(Commentary: Even if the manifestation of "incapacity" from a Capable One is a power, it is his created attribute, not the Creative one).
