Our Master Al-Sadiq, may his glory be exalted, said concerning the matter of the similitude of the marriage of Lady Umm Kulthum, may her glory be exalted, to Umar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah curse him: "Amir Al-Mouminine, may his glory be exalted, sent for a Jinn female from the people of Najran, a Jewess named Sahiqa bint Jurayriyyah. He commanded her, and she appeared in the likeness of Umm Kulthum. Sights were veiled from Umm Kulthum, and he sent her to the man. She remained with him until one day he suspected her and said: 'There is no family on earth more skillful in magic than the family of Hashim.' Then he wanted to reveal that to the people, but he was killed and the inheritance was divided. She returned to Najran, and Amir Al-Mouminine revealed Umm Kulthum."1
Glory be to Him who gave the Jinn female this subtle power, knowing that the change in form in the Jinn female is also from her side, not just from the side of the viewer. For the change that occurs only from the viewer's side is that specific withdrawal image that belongs to our Master, the Eternal Ancient, may his glory be exalted.
The Incident of Sindi bin Shahak, may Allah curse him, thinking that he washed our Master Al-Kadhim
From Al-Musayyab, our Master Al-Kadhim, may his glory be exalted, said: "O Musayyab, this filthy Sindi bin Shahak will claim that he will take charge of my washing and burial. Far be it, far be it that this should ever happen... By Allah, I saw them with my own eyes while they thought they were washing him, but their hands did not reach him, and they thought they were embalming him and shrouding him, but I saw that they were not doing anything to him."2
If he were a human being, O believer, in the state of human beings, the hand of the wicked oppressor Sindi bin Shahak, upon him be the curses of the Exalted, the Almighty, would have reached him. But far be it, far be it, for human aspects have no share in them, may their glory be exalted.
