The Scholar, may his glory be exalted, said: "The Messiah did not order them to kill him and forbade them from it. When they decided and determined to do so, and thought of themselves as having power over him, and gathered for that purpose, He veiled their sight from him and made that action resemble (a killing) to them, without their knowledge, power, clarification, or will. And Allah sanctified the Messiah, His spirit, and His word from all that, and he returned to the Divinely Ethereal and Eternal, to the Majesty and Omnipotence. Therefore, they obeyed and disobeyed, but Allah had forbidden them from killing and crucifying him, those who thought they had reached him."1

From Abi Umamah, our Master Al-Hasan bin Ali, may his glory be exalted, said: "The promise has been fulfilled, and the word of your Lord, the Truth, has been completed. The falsehood-doers have lost, and the deviants have lied when they thought that they made him swallow the poison with the dagger of his servant and deprived him of life. Woe to the one whose heart is blinded and veiled from his Lord. Allah, like 'Be and it is' (Kun fayakun), has a form, and tomorrow they will know what change they will undergo."2

Here is the speech of my Master the Meaning, Amir Al-Mouminine, may his glory be exalted, after he appeared in the image of my Master Al-Hasan, may his glory be exalted. He explained the incident of the Master being stabbed with a dagger by a cursed Khariji, and the matter of him being given poison by the cursed Ja'da, whom Allah cursed. They plotted, Allah plotted, and Allah is the best of planners.

When Al-Ma'mun struck our Master Ali Al-Rida, may his glory be exalted, with the sword and cut the garment on his body with his strikes, it was made to resemble his killing to them. Our Master Al-Rida, may his glory be exalted, said: "Faces were humbled to the Ever-Living, the Sustainer. And he has failed who carried injustice. I am Allah, the Lord of Lords. The word has been decreed, and it has been due upon most of them, and doubt has covered them, so it veiled them. If the matter were referred to My honored servants, those who infer it from them would have known it. My station is great, My houses are magnified, and I am the Exalted, the Great."3
