After understanding the subject of the perceived image, its power, and its nature as an illusion in the eyes of the beholders; and after acknowledging the majesty and elevation of the Family of Muhammad, and after your heart is convinced of that, we will mention some Qur'anic verses and Hadiths concerning the general occurrence of similitude in many apparent and hidden situations. This will help us understand the issue of imagination in the eyes of the creation, and that the image is only from your perspective. This will be an introduction to the topic of the similitude of Karbala, in which we will mention the events and narrations that occurred with the other Imams that point to and indicate similitude. Following that, we will specifically mention the narrations of similitude related to Karbala in the next chapter.
{And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt concerning it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him for certain.}1
{And We would have certainly covered them with the same obscurity with which they obscure themselves.}2
{And [remember, O Muhammad], when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or expel you. But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.}3
{And they had plotted their plot, and with Allah is [the record of] their plot, though their plot was such as would move the mountains.}4
{So they planned a plot, and We planned a plot, while they perceived not.}5
{And you assumed about Allah assumptions.}6
{And We will turn their hearts and their eyes as they did not believe in it the first time, and We will leave them in their transgression, wandering blindly.}7
