Our Master Abi Abdullah Al-Sadiq, may his glory be exalted, said: "Indeed, Allah, the Almighty and Glorious, has entrusted all of the believer's affairs to him, but He did not entrust him to be humiliated. Do you not hear the saying of Allah, the Almighty and Glorious, who says: {And to Allah belongs [all] honor, and to His Messenger, and to the believers}? Thus, the believer is honored and is not humiliated." Then he said: "Indeed, the believer is more honored than the mountain, for the mountain can be diminished by picks, but nothing of the believer’s religion can be diminished."1
The speech of our Master Al-Hussein, may his glory be exalted, in his sermon: (Far be it from us to accept humiliation. Allah refuses that for us, and so does His Messenger and the believers.)2
Allah refuses humiliation for them, yet the one who falls short insists on describing them with humiliation. Be sanctified from what the ignorant say. We conclude this section with two noble narrations:
For our Master Al-Askari, may his glory be exalted, in which he said: "Fear Allah and be an ornament for us, and do not be a disgrace. Draw all affection towards us, and ward off every ugliness from us. For whatever good is said about us, we are worthy of it, and whatever bad is said about us, we are not so."3
Our Master Al-Hadi, may his glory be exalted, said to his followers: "Fear Allah and be an ornament, and do not be a disgrace. Draw all affection towards us, and ward off every ugliness from us."4
