The Doctrine of Redemption from Exoteric Books
Some Reports from the Exoteric Books in Affirmation of the Doctrine of Redemption
Our Master Al-Kazim, may his might be exalted, said: "Indeed, God Almighty was angry with the Shia group, so He gave me the choice between myself and them, and by God, I protected them with my own soul."1
Which Shia group does the Master mean? Those similar to Salman and Ammar, and the rest of our masters, or those whom Our Master Al-Kazim, may his might be exalted, described: "If I were to test my Shia group, I would not find them except as mere describers!"
Our Master, the Messenger of God, said to Our Master Amir Al-Mouminine, may their might be exalted: "O 'Ali, indeed God, may He be blessed and exalted, loaded me with the sins of your Shia group, then He forgave them for me. And that is His saying, may He be exalted: {That God may forgive you what preceded of your sin and what will follow}."2
Among what is also falsely narrated on the tongues of the deficient group:
That Sukayna, peace upon her, complained to Imam Al-Husayn, may his glory be exalted, of thirst and asked him for water. So Imam Al-Husayn, may his glory be exalted, said to her: "My daughter, do you not see that the enemies have surrounded the water source from every side? From where can I bring you water, O delight of my eyes?" So she said to him: "O father, you are an infallible Imam, and a miracle is not lacking for you." So the Imam took her behind the tents, placed his blessed finger on the ground, and a spring of sweet water gushed out from it. And he said to her: "My daughter, do you see this water? If you drink from it, our Shia group will thirst on the Day of Resurrection, the Day of the Greatest Thirst." So she said to him: "No, O father, I will not drink the water, and I will be patient for the sake of our Shia group."
