I further affirm that Salman is Your Gate (Bab), the rope of Your salvation, Your image and likeness among creation. Those who are marked by him are exalted; those who deny him are turned away. He purifies creation toward You, guides them to You, and directs them in reaching You. Without him, wisdom would be void and debauchery and wrath would spread. Were it not for him, believers would not be known, the gnostics would not be found, nor would those who draw from the source have drawn. He is the vast ocean, the deep sea. O God, hasten the coming of his relief, ease his appearance, and support him with Your victory until he summons Your Name—Muhammad al-Mahdi—and unveils the reality of his religion and the clarity of his command, so that all on earth may be struck by it. He calls and proclaims that the truth is with Ali; he bears the cry of truth and the speech of sincerity.
I bear witness, too, to the people of Your holy ranks and to those who journey toward You in their various degrees—souls whose gazes are fixed upon You and who offer themselves for Your sake. They are the suns of the land of Your obedient ones, finding solace in Your manifestation and peace in Your esoteric presence. You chose them by Your will and made their hearts luminous temples by Your volition. By Your grace they worshipped You, and with the light of their hearts they witnessed You through the primordial nature upon which You created them. They saw You with knowledge and found You with power; they were not heedless of You, nor, by Your mercy and compassion, were You absent or veiled from them.
Indeed, You are High, Great, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
