There is no blame on the Naṣībah that they laughed at them and mocked them. What is the matter with one in whose hand the universe is like a walnut, being slaughtered like a goat? And one in whose hand is existence like a dirham, being driven from his house like the slow camel?1
So, take, O my brother, what we have brought you with strength and hold fast to it. May the Master reward you with the reward of the doers of good and elevate your station in both abodes. Do not disclose its news among the rabble commoners, lest they assault you with a malicious tongue and buried hatreds.
In conclusion, we say to the Negligent (Muqassirah), the deniers, those persisting in the Great Perjury: This is but the beginning of the overflow upon the seekers of truth, and the burning coal of summer heat upon you, O sons of Saqifah.
So patience, patience! You will see, by the power and strength of Allah, the irrefutable proofs from between the hands of your books—you who say: "We are the sons of the proof, we incline wherever it inclines"!!
So gather your sheikhs and align the rows of your scholars. For here are the sons of Abū Al-Khaṭṭāb; they have descended into the field and armored themselves with wisdom and faith. Their slogan is the Argument and the Proof. So bring your proof, O Negligent ones, if you are truthful.
Our final call is that thanks and praise belong to our Master, the Witness, the Watcher, the Strong, the Severe, Muḥammad ibn Al-Ḥasan (may his glory be exalted). He is the Opener of this Door and the Causer of Causes for the Return and the Homecoming.
