Peace be upon the Great Slaughter by which

The Light ransomed Ismail on the day of his ransom.

Peace be upon his moons and his stars,

And the lights of the people of the earth from the best of his progeny.

Peace be upon the Seventy righteous Unitarians,

From the Great Shī‘ah and from the best of his stock.

Peace be upon the pure ones from the Shī‘ah of Guidance,

The loyalists of Husayn the Light, from the people of his support.

Peace be upon him who stood as a likeness, representing

His Master, meeting death under his banner.

Peace be upon him who gave to Allah, patiently,

His lifeblood, not turning away from his experience.

Peace be upon him who possessed every virtue;

His Lord endowed him, endowed him with his insight.

And congratulated him for what He rewarded him for the Day of Karbala,

With a reward that has no limit due to its abundance.

So, blessedness to him, and the victory and the spoil, all of it,

Belongs to Ḥanẓalah, the one exclusive to us in his emigration.

Peace be upon the visitors of a Light in Karbala,

From the believers who are knowing of his visitation.

Peace be upon him who visits him a thousand Hajj,

Performing Hajj for him with the pilgrims of Allah, with his Umrah.

Peace be upon him who visits him bearing witness to him

That he is Living, having attained the center of his Garden.

He shakes their hands at the time of Salam with his palm;

He answers their supplication when he calls with compassion.

He encompasses them with pardon and forgives, mercifully,

Their sins when they respond to his call.

Where are the people of intellect regarding the knowledge of his essence?

And that they estimate him—woe to them—with the truth of his estimation?
