Know that Allah, Blessed and Exalted, is the Giver to him who performs this Ziyarah on this day ten traits: He protects him from an evil death; no enemy will be aided against him until he dies; he is protected from hateful things and poverty; Allah (Mighty and Majestic) secures him from leprosy and insanity; and He secures that for his child and his child's child to four generations.
‘Abdullāh ibn Sinān said: Praise be to Allah who favored me with the knowledge of you and what is obligatory towards you. And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds."1
Ziyarah of Al-Husayn on the Middle of Sha'ban by Our Master Abu Shu'ayb (peace comes from him)
Allah is Great, Allah is Great (Allahu Akbar). He is mightier than to be limited, and greater than to be described, even if He has revealed Himself to His creation through Manifestations and unveiled Himself to His slaves from the Veils of Spirituality. For He is Allah, besides Whom there is no god, the Greatest God, the Most Generous Lord, the Ancient Ali, the Bestower of favors, and the Creator of the Tablet and the Pen. You ascended above Your place as Muḥammad, Praised (Mahmud) by Your knowledge, so You were established in Your Pre-existence. You revealed Yourself through Your White Behmaniyya [Primal Light], so no creature among the believers remained but that he knew You, and his heart was reassured by the reality of Your Remembrance and Your Majesty. You made the Stations a covering for You, and the Veils a pointer to You, although You pointed to Yourself by Yourself and manifested to Your creation as Your creation.
So here I am, O Allah, here I am — and twice at Your service — a devotion that is Alawite, Muhammadan, Hasanid, Husaynid; Alawite, Muhammadan, Ja‘farid, Musawid; Alawite, Muhammadan, Alawite, Hasanid.
There is no god but You, the Lord of epochs, cycles (akwār), turns (adwār), days, and ages. How many favors You have upon slaves who disbelieved in You, attributed children to You, and [attributed] the touching of women and the incarnation of nakedness (mujasadat al-‘ara’) to You! Then they were not satisfied with that until they shed Your blood and attributed to You the catastrophic killing, and made You taste the heinous death. They made a grave for You and reckoned You were buried in it. They visited You claiming that You are buried in it, while they are in reality liars, wishing by that to draw near to You. Yet You, with all that, pour out Your provision upon them and give them from Your bounty—gradually leading them, giving them respite, allowing them attainment, giving them little, and bestowing favor. So, they thought by that that they had reached Your Unification (Tawhid).
