O Allah, peace to those who made peace with Your Walis, and war to those who warred against them until the Day of Resurrection. O Allah, curse ‘Umar ibn Sa‘d, and curse Shamir ibn Marjānah ibn Dhī al-Jawshan al-Dabbī. Curse, O Allah, ‘Ubaydullāh ibn Ziyād, and curse a nation that saddled, bridled, and prepared to fight You.
O Allah, make me distinguished in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I dissociate to You from those who fought You and set up war against You. And by dissociating from those who established tyranny, I have dissociated to Allah the Exalted from them in this world and the Hereafter, and I ask Him to make me reach the Praiseworthy Station (Al-Maqam Al-Mahmud). O Allah, make me in this station of mine among those who receive from You prayers, mercy, and forgiveness, and for all the believers.
O Allah, indeed this is a day in which the curse descends upon Umayyah and the son of the Liver-Eater, the accursed son of the accursed, and the family of Umayyah, and upon Ziyād and his son ‘Ubaydullāh, upon Your tongue and the tongue of Your Prophet in every place where Your Prophet stood. Upon Yazīd ibn Mu‘āwiyah is the curse to the eternity of eternities and the duration of durations. O Allah, double the curse and the punishment upon them for the killing of Your Walis in this day of mine and this position of mine, in the days of my life, by dissociating from them and cursing them, and by loyalty to Your Walis, by a mercy from You, O Most Merciful of the merciful, O Ali, O Great.
O Allah, single out for the curse the family of Taym, the family of ‘Adī, and the family of Umayyah. O Allah, curse Yazīd and the family of Yazīd, and the family of ‘Ubaydullāh ibn Ziyād, and the family of Marwān, until the Day of Resurrection.'
(Then you prostrate, raise your head, and say):
'O Allah, to You belongs the praise, the praise of the thankful, the praising, the worshippers. O Allah, grant me the intercession of Your Names and the ranks of Your Holiness on the Day of Arrival. Establish for me a foothold of sincerity with You by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful, O Ali, O Great.'
(Then you prostrate and supplicate for what you love; it will be answered, Allah the Exalted willing).
