'O Allah, indeed the misguided, misguiding nation opposed the Guiding Imams, disbelieved in the Luminous Word, and established themselves upon disbelief, ignorance, ruin, and blindness. They abandoned the Book which You commanded be known and its meanings pondered. They opposed Your Name and Your Messenger whom You commanded be obeyed. They deviated from the Truth and misled the nation, opposed the Sunnah, altered the Book, possessed the parties, disbelieved in the Truth when it came to them, and held fast to falsehood when it came to them. They wasted Your right, misled Your creation, killed Your Messengers, and burned Your Book with fire, daring against the severity of the punishment—so how patient they are for the Fire! They killed the bearers of Your knowledge, the treasurers of Your secret, and those whom You made the rulers in Your earth. O Allah, curse whoever did that to them and commanded it. Shake their feet, ruin their homes, strike them with Your sharp sword, throw them with Your stone, overwhelm them with tribulation completely, encompass them with it generally, sweep them with it thoroughly, punish them with the punishment of Your Fire, shadow them with high prices, and take them with the years of drought with which You took Pharaoh and his people. Destroy them with what You destroyed Your enemies.
O Allah, Your Sunnah is lost, Your rulings are wasted, and the group of Your believing servants in the earth is displaced and expelled like roaming wild beasts. O Allah, manifest the Truth and kill the Falsehood. Bestow upon us salvation, guide us to Faith, and make it established, not deposited nor borrowed. Hasten our relief by the Qā'im, the Mahdi, and make him a cloak for us.
O Allah, destroy him who made the killing of Your Walis (friends) a festival (Eid), and take the last of them as You took the first of them. O Allah, double the torment and the exemplary punishment upon the oppressors among the first ones and the last ones from among the oppressors of the believers. Increase them in punishment, and destroy their followers (Shī‘ah), their leaders, and their group.
O Allah, destroy and curse whoever narrates on the Day of Ashura the embellished falsehoods and distorted hadiths. Take the last of them as You took the first of them with double the tribulation, punishment, exemplary punishment, eclipsing, casting, and stoning, from the first ones and the last ones among those who oppressed, usurped, tyrannized, transgressed, commanded, forbade, and established the tradition of injustice against the believers, tormented them, and destroyed their followers (Shī‘ah).
