The Second Ziyarah for the Day of Ashura
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Peace be upon you and upon the Station (Maqam). Glory be to You, O One who appeared in Humanity (Nasutiyyah) and was absent in Divinity (Lahutiyyah). O Mine of the Kingdom (Malakut), O Living One who does not die. I have come to you as a visitor, economizing, seeking Your bounty and Your mercy. Glory be to You, Allah, the Ali, the Great.
O Allah, I ask You by the pre-existence of Your Unification (Tawhid) and the affirmation of Your Proof which does not vanish from the souls of the knowing believers, that You send blessings upon Your Prophet Muḥammad, who manifested the Proof and established the Rank in the souls of those who unify You. O First in His Firstness, and O Last in His Lastness. O Allah, I ask You to suffice me against the burden of the Diminishers (Muqazmina) and every ignorant one who was ignorant of Your knowledge. I have come to You as a visitor, economizing, to Your Door, seeking Your mercy. O Allah, I ask You not to turn me and all my brothers away from this Station except illuminated, pure, and cleansed, with the believers from whom You took the Covenant and the Compact in the First Particle (al-Dharr). Indeed, You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.
(Then you prostrate following the Ziyarah and supplicate for yourself and your brothers; it will be answered, Allah the Exalted willing).1
The Third Ziyarah for the Day of Ashura
It is narrated from ‘Abdullāh ibn Sinān, who said: I entered upon our Master Abū ‘Abdillāh Al-Ṣādiq (may his glory be exalted) on the Day of Ashura, and I said: "O my Master, I have come to you seeking benefit, that you may benefit me with knowledge in it." He (peace comes from him) said: "Ask about what you wish and what you love."
