The Negligent say that their most authentic book, and the pivot around which the Sharia revolves in principles and branches, is the book Al-Kāfī by Muḥammad ibn Ya‘qūb Al-Kulaynī, which he collected over more than twenty years. We have not seen a single hadith narrated by Al-Kulaynī from the Four Deputies!! We have not seen any assistance from the Four Deputies or a word from the Master Muḥammad ibn Al-Ḥasan narrated from them, neither regarding his birth nor the appearance of his command or his signs, as if the Four Deputies did not exist!! We have not seen interest from any of the Deputies in the matter of this book or urging towards it despite its importance among the Shī‘ah even at that time. Al-Ṣadūq, Al-Mufīd, and Al-Ṭūsī narrated from it, yet we have not seen any mention of the Four Deputies. Rather, there are contradictions against the Deputies, and we will clarify them in an independent research about the deputyship of these agents whose business was taking money. Whoever wants to be sure, let him go and read the signatures that came out from them; around what did most of them revolve? Most of them revolved around the money of the Debtor!!!

Therefore, the status of this signature is clear to the people of acumen, and it is weak to use such a text as an argument against the Batiniyyah.

"The Third Report: The Back-Breaker of the Negligent"

Al-Harawī reported that he said to our Master Al-Riḍā (may his glory be exalted): "There are a people in the Sawad of Kūfah who claim that no forgetfulness (sahw) occurred to the Prophet in his prayer." He said: "They lied, may Allah curse them. Indeed, the One who does not forget is Allah, besides Whom there is no god." He said: I said: "O son of the Messenger of Allah, and among them are a people who claim that Al-Ḥusayn ibn ‘Alī (may the glory of both be exalted) was not killed, that his resemblance was cast upon Ḥanẓalah ibn As‘ad Al-Shabāmī, that he was raised to the sky just as Jesus son of Mary was raised, and they use this verse as proof {And never will Allah give the disbelievers over the believers a way [to overcome them].}" He said: "They lied, upon them is the wrath of Allah and His curse. They disbelieved by their belying of the Prophet of Allah in his informing that Al-Ḥusayn ibn ‘Alī will be killed. By Allah, Al-Ḥusayn was killed, and those better than Al-Ḥusayn were killed: Amir Al-Mouminine and Al-Ḥasan ibn ‘Alī. None of us is but killed. I, by Allah, am to be killed by poison through the assassination of he who assassinates me. I know that by a covenant entrusted to me from the Messenger of Allah, told to him by Gabriel from the Lord of the Worlds. As for the saying of Allah, Exalted and Almighty: {And never will Allah give the disbelievers over the believers a way}, He says: And Allah will never give a disbeliever an argument over a believer. Allah, Exalted and Almighty, has informed of disbelievers who killed the prophets without right, yet with their killing of them, Allah did not give them a way over His prophets by way of the argument."1
