O Negligent, fear Allah, besides whom there is no god! How could these Bedouins, who urinate on their heels, deceive Al-Ḥusayn? How could these lowlifes make a fool of Al-Ḥusayn? Judge! Do you not have minds with which you reason, O Negligent? Do you not have boundaries with which you comprehend, O Negligent? By Allah, we do not intend by this book, by this conveyance, and by this effort anything but the purification of our Master Al-Ḥusayn (glorious is His majesty). Even if we condescend to your minds, or rather to those whom you consider Negligent in your eyes, we would condescend to those who do not believe in their exalted stations. The most they reach is that they are Imāms and Allah's Caliphs, and we say to them: Does Al-Ḥusayn have an answered supplication? They will say: Yes. We say: It is sufficient for one who has an answered supplication not to be deceived, fooled, and "made a laughingstock" by the playful people of Kūfah! One who has an answered supplication will not slip into this pitfall. So how about the one in whose hand is the creational authority and the world is like a walnut in his hand, as you believe? You will say: It is the Divine Battle on earth, and it is for the victory of blood over the sword. We say: May Allah disgrace those minds!! Allah is jealous over His religion, so how can He not be jealous over the people of His religion? How can the jealous God love that His sacred women (Ḥarīm) should be taken captive, with their faces uncovered and their hair exposed, before His enemies? How can Allah accept that His sacred women should be taken captive from Iraq to Syria by impure scoundrels, when none of you would feel safe with his honor exposed to a stranger, let alone an enemy? How can Allah, the Most High, the Magnificent, be pleased with His honor being before His enemy!!!

By Allah, you have not estimated Allah with the estimation due to Him! The difference between us and you, O fools, is that we purify the Creator and you humiliate the Exalted! You will not be satisfied with a Ḥusayn unless he is under the shoe of the wicked, adulterous Shimr!!

I do not intend by this determination

Except the purification of the secret of life.

I do not intend by this defense

Except the purification of the water of life.

A Ḥusayn when there is no tangible one,

A Ḥusayn when there is no palpable one.

So how can He be

Under the hooves of the enemies!!
